A strongly… unifying museum!
For years, the project had been in the air: to move the modest Louis-Cyr Museum into the house built and inhabited at the very beginning of the 20th century by the famous strongman. When the Companions decided in the summer of 2011 to buy the house, the challenge was great. We took the plunge hoping the parachutes would open.
We quickly understood the importance of carrying out this project with the support of the community. We had to navigate the institutional and administrative mazes with encouraging successes and bitter disappointments.
Throughout this marathon, we have been supported and encouraged by popular support. Without this support, we would not have been able to achieve our goals. WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT, member, donor, sponsor or partner, we would not have been able to offer the community this magnificent house-museum, worthy of its hero, which presents an interesting, interactive and professional-caliber exhibition that embellishes Saint- Jean-de-Matha.
Crowdfunding campaign
Every donation will we doubled !
Maison Louis-Cyr invites the public to participate in a crowdfunding campaign in which all donations will be exceptionally doubled thanks to the support of a generous donor.
With a goal of $ 10,000 and leverage that doubles that amount by two, we will together reach $ 30,000.
The objective of this campaign, which will run until February 28, 2022 inclusive, is to support the museum in improving its programming of educational, cultural and tourist activities.
Mainly, this campaign will allow the museum to develop a new digital offer through immersive video capsules and virtual reality headsets.
